A much more intensive and practical course than the &#8220;Barista at Home&#8221; course &#8211; this course would suit someone wishing to understand coffee preparation on a more commercial level, or for the serious coffee lover who&#8217;d like to delve deeper into the science and art of espresso.<\/p>\n<p>The class begins with an exclusive tour of our Roastery, before launching into the very \u201chands-on\u201d course.<\/p>\n<h3>You will leave with a sound understanding of the following<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Brief coffee history, coffee journey from bean to cup, processing methods, roasting process<\/li>\n<li>What is freshly roasted coffee?<\/li>\n<li>Barista hygiene fundamentals<\/li>\n<li>What is espresso?<\/li>\n<li>Grinding the beans- monitoring &amp; adjusting the grind<\/li>\n<li>Dosing and tamping techniques<\/li>\n<li>Correct espresso extraction<\/li>\n<li>Milk texturing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Course holds a maximum 4 persons per session (or up to 6 as a group) which allows for maximum access to espresso equipment and one-on-one time with trainer.
